Edwin Rivera Jr. is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. Edwin received his Master's in clinical mental health counseling at Mercer University and holds an associate professional counseling license. He has experience working closely with adolescents and teens in a partial hospitalization setting via a Day Program.
In addition to his experience as Day Program Therapist, he has experience working as both an individual and family therapist. Edwin’s approach has foundations in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Edwin utilizes an eclectic approach that strives to balance validation and change. Throughout the therapeutic process, Edwin endeavors to align with clients to identify goals, recognize cognitive distortions and replace target behaviors with new effective ones.
