Ms. Jennifer Todaro completed her undergraduate education first at Community College of Rhode Island in Warwick, RI where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in teaching early childhood. She then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN and graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society for Psychology. She later earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN at which time she was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the International Honor Society for Counseling.

As a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Ms. Todaro has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of mental health and substance use issues. She understands the importance of the therapeutic relationship and works diligently to build a nurturing, safe environment where her clients feel comfortable expressing their emotions. Ms. Todaro has a direct, but compassionate approach to working with her clients. She works collaboratively with her clients and their families, using their inner strengths and family values, to ensure they achieve their goals and reach their maximum potential.

Ms. Todaro believes that each individual has unique views, and therefore uses a variety of approaches to fit the client’s worldview and therapeutic needs. Her training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention Trauma Focused Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based Approaches, and Art, Sand, and Play techniques. She offers counseling to children, adolescents, and family therapy and works collaboratively with the schools as needed for 504/IEP plans.
